Amaco is a Royal Australian College of General Practitioner (RACGP) Accredited Education Provider.

We understand the importance of ongoing education in maintaining and improving the quality of care GPs provide to patients and aim to provide an education syllabus that supports Australian GPs as they develop and maintain their skills.

The educational topics at each conference are selected based on feedback from our past participants. We combined this information with additional input from the Royal Australian College of General Practice and closely follow industry journals and trends to identify potential areas of interest.

An Education Committee is established for each conference and as per RACGP guidelines, this is chaired by a practicing GP. The committee then identifies speakers who are able to prepare a range of presentations, case studies and workshops and works with these people in preparation of the the formal RACGP submission. Generally speaking, our conferences include 1 or sometimes 2 x Category 1 ALMs – each worth 40 QI&CPD points.

We also work closely with ACRRM to ensure that members receive suitable recognition for attending our conferences. Other healthcare providers such as specialists, nurses and pharmacists are encouraged to register for our conferences and earn CPD points based on the subject matter being presented.
